Emma Revived
No one expected Emma Brookes to die that day. After all, she was only eighteen and had just gotten engaged. Yet, Emma falls to her death from a carriage in 1871 only to be cryogenically revived 159 years later into the futuristic world of 2030. With everything and everyone she has ever known dead and gone, Emma struggles to connect with her new world as she is taught the most important events of the centuries that she has missed. With the help of a counselor at the laboratory, she soon enters a university to see how she is able to progress psychologically.
While at the university, Emma makes a very close friend in her roommate- Kali- and eventually joins the school sorority as well as various human rights clubs, fostering greater connections. She soon meets a man who changes her worldview and helps her to think in ways she has never thought before. She then enters a passionate relationship, where she falls deeply in love with him and opens her mind to her own sexuality. Emma throws away the traditional confines of what she was taught in the past about being a woman and embraces a new future- a future where she can make a difference.
As the presentation for her to announce the experiment to the world draws nearer, Emma must decide if she is willing to go through with it and tell her loved ones the impossible truth or walk away and pretend like it never happened.
