I am 46 and live in North West London. I work in hospitality at concert venues, museums and art galleries in London. I also sometimes work as a film extra, which is a lot of fun. I have two fantastic children aged 9 and 12 and I loved making up stories to them when they were very small.
I like writing in lots of genres including poetry, novels and plays. I am currently working on a musical/opera and hope to write the music for it too!
I love playing my clarinet in a concert band and performing. I have a background in painting.
I work alongside my good friend and illustrator, Lily K. LeMaire, who is brilliant at reading my mind’s idea of what a character should look like. She is a well-known illustrator in her native country of Bulgaria. We have worked on several books together.
Lily LeMaire was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and graduated with a BA in animation. She has lived in London for the last 20 years working as a counsellor in bereavement, with service users, victims of DV and with Ukranian refugees.
Lily has illustrated multiple adventure books for children including “Pelican Boots.”
