Paul lives with his wife, Margaret (Mags), and son, Marc – now a young adult – and their pets, Bronte the dog and Bonnie the cat, in Lancashire, in the United Kingdom.
His son, Marc, has been living with drug-resistant epilepsy since birth and was diagnosed with severe autism at twenty-nine years of age. Paul took up writing, sharing a photo blog and hoping to raise awareness of hidden disabilities among his readership and followers, and a wider audience, and to help make the world more inclusive and tolerant. He also hopes his writing will help those who need it to realise that they are not alone.
He is the author of two published books. A memoir, Marc’s Garden, in which he describes how he and his wife came to terms with and supported a child with additional needs, a child they were told would not live beyond his first night.
While writing that book, his thoughts turned to creating a work of fiction, and subsequently his first adult fantasy, Strange Conflicts, was published. This story draws on his experiences raising his son and explores some of the questions medics leave unanswered.
This was followed by its sequel, Retribution, which explores a darker gothic fantasy and expands upon all the characters from the first book.
Paul is also a regular contributor to The National Autistic Society members’ magazine, Your Autism, where he responds to members’ questions and publishes various articles.

Paul is now retired from a career in retail, logistics, and project management, and, together with his wife, continues to care for their son, ensuring his well-being every day and that he can participate in society as much as possible. He is currently working on his fourth book, Final Forfeit, which will conclude this adult fantasy series.
