Katy Booth is a semi-retired primary school teacher. She has a B.ED (Hons) from Sheffield Hallam University (formerly Polytechnic), with English as a specialist subject. The creative writing course, which was included in this degree, enabled her to develop her love of writing fiction.
Spending time with her grandchildren and sharing her stories with them was the first step to putting ideas down in writing, which she freely admits has been a pleasurable challenge.
The inspiration for her debut story A Piece Of The Jigsaw, was provided by the enchanting county of Cornwall, where Katy and her family frequently visit.
Katy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, yoga, walking and of course writing. She lives with her husband, an old abandoned cat and her borrowed loveable dogs.
