Katy Booth is a semi-retired primary school teacher and author of her debut novel, A Piece of the Jigsaw. She graduated with a BEd (Hons) degree from Sheffield Polytechnic with English as a specialist subject. The creative writing course, which was included in this degree, enabled her to develop her love of writing fiction.
Spending time with her grandchildren and sharing her stories with them was the first step to putting her ideas down in writing. The inspiration for her story was provided by the enchanting county of Cornwall, where Katy and her family frequently visit.
Katy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, yoga, walking, afternoon teas and writing. She lives with her husband, an old abandoned cat and her two borrowed, loveable dogs.
