I was brought up in Rainhill near Liverpool. My parents were Irish and I was reared in an Irish tradition. I was well schooled principally by Irish nuns and Christian Brothers who devoted their lives to God. After school I attended The Royal Dental Hospital in London qualifying as a dentist in 1983. In 1988 I followed my parents and sister home to Ireland, to the Medieval capital of Ireland, Kilkenny, where I met and married my beautiful wife.

In 2016 I finished work and after 33 years of running around chasing my tail and raising my three children, there is nothing I like more than relaxing, including gardening, golf, playing cards, reading and writing.

A short story I wrote was published at, XR Creative.org in February 2021, titled ,”I was a Plastic Bag.” Two further short stories, “The Darling of the Dog and Duck”, and  “Communication Meltdown” were long-listed in a writing competition in the West of Ireland. My poem,”The Bits in Between, (by the Bride’s Father)”, was published in an American journal in 2023. “Journey To The Surface Of The Earth” is my latest novel published with Blossom Spring Publishing.
