Award winning author Graham Parry was born in Liverpool and still lives there with his wife and son. After graduating with a politics degree, he has since held positions in the public sector within the fields of Housing, Regeneration, Community Safety and is currently working to reduce levels of homelessness.
Graham created the world of Alder having dreamt it one night and wanted to link it with his local children’s hospital, Alder Hey, in order to raise money for it. Graham won Best Achievement Award for The People’s Book Prize Competition in London 2020 with his story Alder! A sequel to the story, Return To Alder, was published in November 2020. Graham looks forward to creating further books in the Alder series for children to enjoy.
Graham’s interests include painting, playing the guitar, watching live music events and attending Anfield to watch his beloved Liverpool Football Club.
