Donna Owen was born and brought up in the west country, Devon, near the moors and the sea. She still lives there. Her two sons have now grown up and although they don’t have any children yet, Donna hopes one day to write for her grandchildren. She is planning ahead!
Donna is a hairdresser by trade and taught hairdressing at a local academy, but now works in a hair salon, in between writing stories, drawing and writing comedies. Lockdown gave Donna the time and inspiration to write and illustrate more. Hide and seek is Donna’s debut children’s picture book.
As a child she grew up with her nose always in a book or a comic. From the age of nine, Donna started writing stories. Her favourite birthday/Christmas present was a drawing book with felt-tip pens and a reading book.
Donna loves animals, birds and wildlife and recently discovered enjoyment in gardening!
