My passion for books started at a very young age, always asking my grandma to read to me and when old enough to read myself, I was never without a book. Immersing myself in both the stories and characters and even writing my own stories from the age of eight!
A large part of my career was in education, teaching primary school children and encouraging them in reading and assessing their progress. I worked with children with special educational needs and found that books and stories helped so many of them cope with everyday life and any problems they might be facing.
I will never lose my passion for books and the power they have to transport me to another time or place.
