Sadie’s Story

Sadie lives in working class Liverpool, in a street where curtains often twitch, especially when romance is involved.

As a young woman in her twenties, living through the hardships and tragedies of World War One, Sadie struggles to overcome both grief and shame.

She is no stranger to cruelty but with encouragement from unexpected places, Sadie discovers she has the ability not only to survive, but to flourish too.
